Welcome to the Eltham Hotel
Your Local in Eltham
A Classic Pub with Rich History
The Eltham Hotel has a rich history dating back to the late nineteenth century. It first opened as Watson’s Hotel, a double-storied building constructed on the Main Road frontage circa 1887 for Christopher Watson.
It has social and historical significance as an important meeting place within the Little Eltham township. Over the years it has undergone refurbishments and renovations, all the while maintaining its old fashioned charm.
Through the 1950s, the Eltham Hotel was a meeting place for artists, intellectuals and mud brick builders in the area, developing a distinctive local lifestyle at that time. These days, we offer a Family Bistro with plenty of options to satisfy guests of all ages.
Our bar has a relaxed and friendly environment perfect for an after work drink or catching up with friends. We have a private function room ideal for any social or corporate event. Our close proximity to Greensborough and Westfield Shoppingtown is convenient for those passing through. No matter what the occasion, Eltham Hotel is the place to be.
